Movies To Watch For Halloween 2023

We are now in October, which means Halloween is just around the corner! 🎃 One of our favourite activities to do every Halloween is binge-watching a bunch of horror movies. From old and iconic movies like Hocus Pocus to new releases like Five Nights At Freddy’s, we’ve put together a list of some of the best movies to watch for Halloween 2023.

Five Nights At Freddy's

When the night shift starts, the nightmare begins. Five Nights at Freddy’s or also known as FNAF is a game of Horror in which you control Mike Schmidt, a newly hired security guard for the night shift at a fast food restaurant. A boring job, isn’t it? Only every night, the animatronic dolls come to life and roam the restaurant’s halls, turned into deranged killers, eager to avenge their pitiful existence.

Five Nights At Freddy’s is set to release on November 1st 2023 and with so many people eagerly awaiting for it to hit the screens, this one will most definitely be a big hit.

Talk To Me

Second on the list we have Talk To Me, which is one of the top rated horror movies for 2023. It’s about a group of friends who discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand. They become hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.

The Nun II

A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit (The Nun) follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun.

Definitely one to watch in our opinion 👀

The Boogeyman

The name alone was enough to get us intrigued, because let’s face it, we were all petrified of the boogeyman when we were kids — and maybe some of us still are 😂😳

High school student Sadie Harper and her younger sister Sawyer are reeling from the recent death of their mother and aren’t getting much support from their father, Will, a therapist who is dealing with his own pain. When a desperate patient unexpectedly shows up at their home seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims.

Scream VI

Featuring Jenna Ortega, the star of the TV series Wednesday, Scream VI is another one which we’re looking forward to watch and if you’re looking for movies to watch for Halloween 2023, it should be on your list too! Scream VI also won the Best Movie award at the MTV Movie + TV Awards 2023, I guess that must mean something!

Four survivors of the Ghostface murders leave Woodsboro behind for a fresh start in New York City. However, they soon find themselves in a fight for their lives when a new killer embarks on a bloody rampage.

INSIDIOUS: THE RED DOOR

We are obsessed with the Insidious saga and we cannot wait to watch this one! We must warn you though, after watching this you’re not going to be able to sleep 🫣

It ends where it all began. In Insidious: The Red Door, the horror franchise’s original cast returns for the final chapter of the Lambert family’s terrifying saga. To put their demons to rest once and for all, Josh and a college-aged Dalton must go deeper into The Further than ever before, facing their family’s dark past and a host of new and more horrifying terrors that lurk behind the red door.

Evil Dead Rise

Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, “Evil Dead Rise” tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sutherland and Sullivan, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.

M3GAN

When the trailer for M3GAN first came out, it immediately went viral and started popping all over social media. The movie was a big success thanks to the murderous robot doll who had become a social media sensation.

She’s more than just a toy. She’s part of the family. When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady, Gemma’s unsure and unprepared to be a parent. Under intense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems—a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.

Hocus Pocus

Hocus Pocus is a 1993 American fantasy comedy film that needs no introduction. It is by far one of the most iconic Halloween movies of all times and it’s fun to watch.

The movie follows the iconic Sanderson sisters, a villainous comedic trio of witches who were executed for practicing magic. The three witches are inadvertently brought back to life after a virgin teenage boy who lights a black flame candle on Halloween night.

Hocus Pocus 2

Some legends never die. Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy reunite for the highly anticipated Disney+ Original Movie “Hocus Pocus 2.” The live-action, long awaited sequel to the perennial Halloween classic, which brings back the delightfully wicked Sanderson sisters for more comedic mayhem.

It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve.

The Ring (2002)

Teenage girls Katie and Becca discuss an urban legend about a cursed videotape that causes whoever watches it to die in seven days. That night, Katie, who watched it a week ago, is killed by an unseen force.

The Ring is a staple in the world of horror movies. After its release in 2002, it was one of the highest-grossing horror remakes. Two sequels were made, as well as a short film.
