I still can’t believe that I’m writing this post… I’ve dreamed about this very moment for so long, it feels surreal. I honestly didn’t think that I was gonna make it, but here it is! A twenty-one-track album.

I feel that by releasing this album, I can now close this chapter of my life and move on to the new one. It took me a very long time to finish this album. Several years to be completely honest…

I started writing my own songs when I was about 12 years old, but I started working on this album much later, in 2014. I was very young back then, and I was going through a lot. It felt as if my life was falling apart. I wanted to write my own music, but being so young I didn’t have much help. Because I was so different from everyone else, I was sometimes put aside. That’s when I realised that I only had myself to count on…

Locked up in my room, I started composing lots and lots of music. Then I started writing the lyrics. In the beginning, I found it difficult to express myself and put my feelings to words, but it was here that I found the help of the incredible Matthew Mercieca (a.k.a. Muxu).

There were times were I needed to take a break from everything… There were times were I felt like quitting… It was nowhere near easy, but it was so worth it! Looking back, I feel so proud of what I have accomplished.

Journey To Freedom was my first album, and it’s definitely not my last! I’m inspired and determined.
